Barça have come back from 2-0 against Sevilla before

It was in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey during the 2018/19 season when the Catalans achieved a 6-1 scoreline at the Camp Nou to turn the tie around

FC Barcelona will have to overcome a 2-0 deficit against Sevilla if they want to be in the final of the 2021 Copa del Rey. Ronald Koeman's team lost at the Pizjuán in the first leg of the semifinals, with the second leg on March 3 at Camp Nou providing them with the opportunity to turn the tie around.

Although qualification will be difficult, the Catalans recently came back from 2-0 in a first leg tie against the Andalusians. It was in the 2018/19 season in the quarterfinals of the cup, when Ernesto Valverde's team won 6-1 in the second leg at the Camp Nou. Scorers on that day were Coutinho (2), Messi, Suárez, Rakitic and Sergi Roberto.

It isn't, however, the only time in history that Barça have managed to overcome a 2-0 defeat in the competition. The first time was in 1966, against Mallorca, with with a 5-1 win in Barcelona in the then called Copa del Generalissimo.

Other European comebacks

In recent years in the Champions League, FC Barcelona have experienced some great comebacks. The last and most remembered, and one which will last forever in the memory of all Barça fans, came against PSG in 2017. After losing 0-4 in Paris, few believed qualification was possible, but the 6-1 in the return, in an epic game at Camp Nou, wrote another golden chapter in Barça's history.

Although it was not so epic, four years earlier Barça had overturned a 2-0 result against Milan. In the return at Camp Nou, a brace from Messi and goals from Villa and Jordi Alba ensured Barça's qualification.

If we still look further back we find the great magical night of Angel Pichi Alonso, with his memorable European hat-trick in the second leg of the European Cup semifinals between Barça and Gothenburg (the Swiss team had won 3-0 in the first leg). Three goals that forced extra time and penalties, which Barça won 5-4 to qualify for the final in Seville.
