1) vs. Chelsea: 127 seconds
In the return leg of the Round of 16 in the 2017/18 Champions League, Barça's No.10 opened the scoring against Chelsea after just 127 seconds. You can watch that match in full again here. There were still many supporters that hadn't taken their seats when Leo slipped the ball between Courtois' legs.The goal helped Barça qualify for the quarterfinals, was his 100th in the European competition, and was also the fastest of his storied career.
2) vs. Racing Santander: 157 seconds
The 2010/11 season was only 157 seconds old when Messi got to work. El Sardinero was the stage and Barça would end up winning 0-3, as well as going on to lift the title. The importance of starting well can't be understated, with Leo taking it quite literally.
3) vs. Slavia Prague and vs. Celtic: 167 seconds
On match day one of the 2016/17 edition of the Champions League, Leo opened the scoring against Celtic after just 2 minutes and 46 seconds had elapsed. Barça would go on to cruise to a 7-0 win. He repeated the feat on October 23 last year, when he faced Slavia Prague for the first time (1-2).
