Last time we met
It’s been 22 long years since Barça last met Borussia Dortmund, and that's the only time we've played each other in official competition. Back on January 8, 1997, a 2-0 win at the Camp Nou in the UEFA Super Cup final first leg, with goals from Luis Enrique and Rivaldo, handed Barça the advantage.
The second leg, over two months later on March 11, saw Barça earn a 1-1 draw at the Westfalenstadion, Giovanni’s eighth minute opener cancelled out by Heinrich’s 64th minute leveller.
Therefore, the Blaugranes triumphed 3-1 on aggregate to take home the trophy.
