FC Barcelona basketball player Thomas Heurtel underwent an operation to treat partial tear of the patellar tendon of his left knee on Monday. The procedure was carried out in Lyon, France, by Dr. Sonnery-Cottet, under the supervision of the club's Medical Team.

The guard is expected to be out of action for around five months.
