The Dutch midfielder, who arrives from FC Groningen, where he played 50 official games, signs a deal for the next three seasons, with an option for a further two, and a buyout clause of €100m

Ludovit Reis has signed a contract this morning with FC Barcelona player. He did so this morning at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper in the presence of director Silvio Elias, the head of professional youth football at the club, formalizing the deal for the next three seasons, through to 2022, with an option in place for a possible addition of two years. The transfer fee for the move from FC Groningen is €3.25m, and the player will have a release clause of €100m.

The Dutch midfielder passed a medical yesterday afternoon. The signing of the contract was also attended by Football Sporting Manager, Josep Segura , and the heads of professional youth football, José Mari Bakero and Guillermo Amor.

Youth international with the Netherlands

Ludovit Reis will turn 19 years old on June 1. Over the last two seasons, he has played a total of 50 official matches with the Groningen first team, for whom he scored two goals. Born to Slovakian parents, he has held a Dutch passport since July 2018. Reis trained at Hoofddorp until 2015, when he joined Groningen's youth setup. He debuted with the first team on September 21, 2017 against USV Hércules in a Dutch Cup match. His first appearance in the Eredevisie came a month later, against AZ Alkmaar. He has represented the Netherlands at Under-19 and Under-21 level.
