Three meetings in a weekend

June always brings good weather, and with it plenty of supporters club meetings as their members get together to celebrate the end of the season and the start of the summer break.

La Xuntanza, in Pontevedra

One of the biggest events at this time of year is always the Xuntanza de Penyes Gallegues, the Galician meeting that this year celebrated its 24th edition in the coastal town of Moaña, in Pontevedra, where the local club was celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Silvio Elias, director of FC Barcelona’s Economic and Strategic department, and Amador Bernabeu, the club’s UEFA delegate attended the event along with more than 200 Galician supporters. The festivities began on Saturday afternoon and went right through to the gala dinner on Sunday.

Tarragona Nord meets in Selva del Camp

The clubs from North Tarragona all headed for the home of the Penya Barcelonista de la Selva del Camp, where they were joined by a large number of club representatives, led on this occasion by former player Sergi Roberto.

The patron of the Fundació Josep Maldonado, Jordi Durà, who is also director of the Supporters Clubs Commission, and former players Rafael Zuviría and Xavi Crespo joined him at the event.

Silver anniversary in Osona i Ripollès

The Penya Blaugrana de Roda de Ter i Les Masies had two reasons to celebrate. The club is 25 years old, and the local meeting was holding its eleventh edition.

Director Pau Vilanova, and former player Pepito Ramos were there in institutional representation of FC Barcelona at the different events, which included a reception in the local town hall, a visit to the clubhouse and a dinner to end. More than 150 people attended in representation the official supporters clubs in the zone.
