FC Barcelona has informed Isaac Cuenca that he is not in the plans for the first team squad, for technical reasons.
The player, after several days of reflection, has accepted the proposal of the Club and both parties agreed today to rescind his contract which linked him to the Club until 30th of June 2015.
The winger has played a total of 30 matches with the FC Barcelona first team. All were in the 2011/12 season, under the orders of Josep Guardiola, who saw him as a player tactically disciplined and with lots of precision in his crosses and shots on goal. Later the player suffered a serious injury in the final part of the season, and had surgery on the external meniscus of his right knee.
After that, he went on loan to Ajax, where he suffered more knee injuries that kept away from the pitch for the entire last season.
