Offensive talent and sharp shooting are the principal weapons of this young Danish player

Andersson is the latest young player from the prolific pool of Danish talent. He came to FC Barcelona at the start of the 2016/17 season having signed from Kolding in Denmark. His talent and his youth led him to be selected for the Danish Olympic team.

His career began at FIF Frederiksberg before he moved on to TMS Ringsted. From there, he signed for the giants of Danish handball, KIF Kolding. Between 2013 and 2016 his progression in his home country did not go unnoticed.

In the Danish league and in the VELUX EHF Champions League, Andersson showed his talent and Barça took notice, signing him on a four season contract in the summer of 2016. His arrival sees him becomes the sixth Danish handball player in the history of the FC Barcelona team after Jeppessen, Noddesbo, Hvidt, Bolsen and Hansen.


Lasse Andersson has lots of the qualities of the Danish school of handball, sharp shooting and an attacking style. His goalscoring capacity has been proven in Europe and he is one of the most promising young talents in the sport.
