Born in Senegal, Diocou moved to Alcalà d’Henares with his family at 9 years old. There, he played handball at school, later competing in the sport with Iplacea. He then joined the Barça youth system, with his fitness and skill progressing him through the ranks.
At age 18 he debuted for the first team against Teucro in Liga Asobal competition at the Palau Blaugrana, on December 4, 2018. That day, he scored 5 goals, ending the season with 15 from 5 games.
Since his debut, Diocou has combined a key role with the second team with first team appearances. In the 2019/20 season he played a total of 12 senior games, scoring 37 goals, and debuted in the Champions League against Celje Pivovarna Lasko.
Diocou is a skillful, explosive and fast right winger. His physique allows him to play in several positions. Since his formative years, he has played at a level above his age group, and has adapted to playing against larger opposing players.
