The Barça futsal team need to win on Thursday in Cartagena to keep themselves in the league play off final. After a 3-2 defeat in the Palacio de los Deportes de Cartagena on Tuesday, Tino Pérez's side find themselves 2-1 down in the best of five tie with victory imperative in the second game in Murcia later this week. 

Waltinho opens the scoring 

After a win apiece in the opening two matches last week in the Palau, the final moved to Cartagena on Tuesday. The game followed the patter of the first two: a tight encounter decided by the smallest of details. 

In the opening minutes both goalkeepers made excellent saves to keep the game goalless before Cartagena's Waltinho found the net in the 11th minute after an excellent team move. Barça did their best to come up with an equaliser but the home side took their 1-0 advantage into the break in the Palacio de los Deportes. 

Barça draw level 

The game changed in the second half when the blaugranes started to pin the home sider back into their own half. Matheus enjoyed a couple of chance before Eric Martel made it 1-1 on the half hour mark. 

Barça's joy was short-lived when just seconds later Mouhoudine made it 2-1. Blaugrana Pito was sent off for dissent just a minute later and Cartagena took advantage to make it 3-1 with a goal from Mellado. 

The appearance of Dyego in the second half gave Barça a lift and he made it 3-2 to hand the blaugranes hope with just under four minutes left.  

Tino Pèrez's team sacrificed their keeper and Dyego had a chance to equalise that flew just wide to leave Thursday's game a must win one for the blaugranes.
