Aïcha Camara Camara (Sabadell, 11 December 2006) grew up in the Can Puiggener neighbourhood of Sabadell. After spending some years in youth football in the town, she had already caught the eye of many clubs, but ended up joining La Masia.
Now aged 15 years old and a blaugrana, she formed part of the development side in the 2022/23 season, before moving through the categories and knocking on the door of the first team and the Spanish national team youth sides. Her first big day as a blaugrana came on 7 February 2025 when she made her competitive first team debut in the Copa Catalunya semi-final in Lleida.
Before that, she had already won the Euro U-19 tournament with Spain in summer 2024, playing a key role as a centre back, albeit she tends to play full back for the blaugranes. She repeated the same trick the following summer, lifting the European trophy again, having played every single minute and being named in the best eleven of the tournament.
A couple of months later after completing a full preseason with the first team under Pere Romeu, the Catalan was rewarded with a first team squad place.
Aïcha Camara is a versatile defender, as she can play right back, like she normally does for the blaugranes, or centre back, like she did for the Spanish youth sides. She is a very powerful player, tough to be beat in duels and has the attributes to get up and down the flank the entire game.
