A very talented player with a clear desire to score goals, whether from the flanks or down the middle

Francisca Nazareth (Lisbon, 17 Nov 2002) started playing futsal before moving to Benfica, and she arrives at Barça aged 21 years old while being considered one of European football's brightest talents.

Known in football as Kika Nazareth, she began playing football relatively late, and spent the first few seasons playing futsal, where she quickly improved and perfected the ball mastery she is known for. This led to Benfica signing her to play 11-a-side football.

During youth football in Lisbon, her birthplace, she was a rising star and aged just 16 years old, while still playing for the U19A side, she made her debut for the first team during the 2018/19 season. That season she won the second division title and promotion to the Primera division.

Only the pandemic causing the Liga to end early meant that she didn't win the title in her first season in top flight football. However, she would be crowned champion of Portugal for the next four seasons in a row, playing a key role in attack while becoming increasingly important.

In 2024/25, her first season at Barça, Kika started well. An ankle injury in March of 2025 kept her out of the final stretch of the campaign but her contribution was made to a season in which the blaugranes claimed the league title, the Copa de la Reina and the Spanish Super Cup.

She has the honour of being the youngest player to score at a World Cup for her country, aged 20 years and eight months old. The goal during the 2023 tournament in Australia and New Zealand saw her beat Cristiano Ronaldo's record for the men's side.

TECHNICAL PROFILE

Kika Nazareth is a born attacker, and can play anywhere across the forward line, whether on either flank or as a false nine or ten, behind the traditional striker position. She has brilliant individual skills, can win games on her own, has a superb reading of the game, and combines really well with her teammates.
