Ewa Pajor (3 December 1996) is a tried and tested goalscorer in the continental game who was the first new signing in the summer of 2024.
From the little Polish town of Uniejow, she soon shone at Medyk Konin in her country, where she was just 15 when she played her first top flight fixture. and scored two goals!
It was not long before she was playing Champions League football and getting picked up by German giants Wolfsburg. She spent nine spectacular years in Germany, racking up 136 goals in 196 games.
Her club won the Bundesliga five times and the German Cup no fewer than nine, but although they reached four Champions League finals, they lost every time, including the loss to Barça in 2023, where she did score the first goal of the game but they eventually lost 3-2.
In her first season as a blaugrana Pajor scored 43 goals in 46 appearances, including 25 in the Liga F where she was top scorer. The Pole also claimed her first trophies as a blaugrana: the league, the Copa de la Reina and the Spanish Super Cup. Her phenomenal goal-scoring record makes her the rightful recipient of the Gerd Müller Award, presented to her at the Ballon d’Or gala as the season’s top scorer.
On the international front, Pajor won the U17 European Championship with Poland in 2013. In August 2013 she scored on her debut for the full national side and currently is Poland's all time top goalscorer.
Ewa Pajor is essentially on the pitch to score goals, and she is a nightmare for opposing defences. But although she typically plays as centre forward, she is no stranger to playing on the left wing too.
