    Jonatan Giráldez

    After two and a half seasons as assistant to Lluís Cortés, he became first team coach in July 2021

    Born in Vigo on 27 November 1991, Jonatan Giráldez was assistant boss to Lluís Cortés for two and a half highly successful seasons. Giráldez became first team coach in July 2021 after Cortés' resignation. 

    Before joining the club the Galician born coach studied sports science in Pontevedra and then Barcelona. Giráldez has worked as an analyst, fitness coach and coach at youth level for the Catalan Football Federation in both men's and women's football. 

    The Barça coach came to the club in January 2019 and has also taught at the Coaching School, lectured at university and worked as a football commentator on TV.
