Born on June 17, 1995 in Beauvais, France, Clément Lenglet is one of the most promising defenders on the planet. The central defender started his career with Nancy in the French Second Division, making his debut in 2013. He developed at the club and despite his youth, he became a vital part of the team. In the 2015/16 Lenglet was key in Nancy winning the French Second Division title.
His excellent performances in France alerted the interest of Sevilla and in January 2017, the Andalusian club signed the defender. Lenglet settled in quickly, his elegant style and his commitment making him a key component of the squad. The Frenchman moved on to the next level and developed into a top class centre back.
On 13 July 2018 he was presented as an FC Barcelona player with a contract until 30 June 2023.
