A thoroughly deserved award. On Tuesday 29 September, La Liga announced the winner of the Coach of the Month award for September, and the accolade went to FC Barcelona coach Hansi Flick. Who else?

The Barça coach receives the award after winning all four of his side's games this month, a 100% record. In fact, he is yet to draw or lose this season, having won every game so far in the 2026/27 campaign.
Those results have put Barça top of La Liga with 21 points from a possible 21, five ahead of their nearest challengers, Atlético Madrid and Betis. This immaculate start to the season is already the best in the club's history, with further records within Barça's reach over the coming games.
Almost five goals a game!
As well as winning all four games, the side scored 19 goals in their four league fixtures in September. That works out at an average of 4.75 goals per game, an impressive demonstration of their attacking power.
Flick was also named the best coach in each of the last two La Liga seasons, 2024/25 and 2025/26. The German continues to add to his collection of awards in a domestic competition he has dominated since his first day at Barça.
