Defender Ronald Araujo has reached a double century of appearances for FC Barcelona. Coming on against Atlético Madrid in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final was number 200 for the Uruguayan with his debut coming back in October 2019 in a game at Spotify Camp Nou against Sevilla.  

The centre back is now in his seventh season with the first team and is captain of the first team.  

200 games and 13 goals  

Injuries have hampered the defender’s career at Barça but in his 200 appearances he has still managed to score 13 goals, three of which have come this season.  

The Uruguayan is ninth on the all time list of appearances for players from the Americas for Barça, just seven behind Ronaldinho. Also ahead of him are Villaverde (224), Rivaldo (235), Rafa Márquez (242), Luis Suárez (283), Mascherano (334), Dani Alves (408) and Leo Messi (778). 

Only two other Uruguayans have made more appearances for Barça than Araujo – Villaverde and Luis Suárez.
