On the day of his debut in the starting XI Alejandro Balde was substituted before half time due to a lower back problem with more tests pending to determine the extent of the problem. 

The young left back made his debut against Bayern Munich in the Champions League and was in the starting XI against Granada with Jordi Alba out injured. Unfortunately he was replaced by Òscar Mingueza before the break with Sergiño Dest moving to left back
