A versatile defender, Adriano tasted success in Europe at Sevilla before winning 16 trophies in his time as a blaugrana

Brazilian Adriano came to Barcelona in the summer of 2010 after great success with Sevilla where he was part of the squad that won two UEFA Europa League trophies. Despite the presence of Éric Abidal and Maxwell at left back in the squad, the blaugranes took up the chance to bring in the versatile South American. Adriano made 189 games in a Barça shirt, scoring 17 goals in his six seasons as a blaugrana. After winning no less than 16 trophies, including four league titles and two Champions League titles, the defender made his way to Besiktas in Turkey for the 2015/16 season. In 2019 he returned to his home town of Curitiba to play for Atlético Paranaense before returning to Europe to hang up his boots at Belgian club KAS Eupen in 2021 at the age of 36.
