Brazilian born midfielder but naturalised Portuguese international who came to the club after winning the Champions League with Porto in 2003 and the winner of numerous international honours. Full biography:
Deco came to Barça in the summer of 2003 after winning the Champions League with Porto. Aged 27, he was regarded as one of the most promising midfielders in Europe and slotted in nicely alongside Xavi Hérnandez in the side that won back-to-back leagues and the European crown in 2006. He played 161 games for Barça and scored 20 goals in four seasons. In 2008, he went to Chelsea, where he won the Premier League in 2010. He ended his career in 2013 while back in Brazil playing for Fluminense.
