Barça Atlètic’s 2025/26 season is officially underway. This Monday marked the start of preseason for the blaugrana reserve team, with Juliano Belletti leading the coaching staff and a young, eager squad ready to get the ball rolling.

The first day began with the usual medical tests at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and in the gym, where the team was split into groups. The players underwent blood tests, body composition analysis, cardiology, podiatry, and dental checks, along with physiotherapy assessments.

In the afternoon, almost the full squad took to pitch 3 at the training ground for a first session combining physical work with ball exercises. Jan Virgili, Landry and Juan, who had recently been training with the first team, remained in the gym, as did the injured players Ureña and Adrian Simon.

Squad of 28

Several players have continued training with the first team since last week. Guillermo, Toni Fernández, Jofre, Pedro Fernández, and Roony (a summer signing from Copenhagen) remain under Hansi Flick’s orders. Ibrahim Diarra, who began pre-season with the first team, is sidelined with a muscle tear in the rectus femoris of his right leg.

They join a group of 28 players in total, including several youth players: Joan Anaya, Eder Aller, Barberá, Àlex Campos, Pau Cifuentes (a youth player signed from Damm), Cortés, Cuenca, Dacosta, Xavi Espart, Brian Fariñas, Landry, Gistau, Juan Hernández, Quim Junyent, Shane Kluivert, Kochen, Tommy Marqués, Mbacke, Sama Nomoko, Adrian Simon, Oduro, Alexis Olmedo, Parriego, Pedro Rodríguez, Eldar Taghizada, Walton, Ureña, and Jan Virgili.

After wrapping up the first day of pre-eason, the team will return to work on Tuesday with a double session, and will continue training throughout the week both in the gym and on the pitch. On Sunday, the team will travel to La Vall d’En Bas for their traditional week-long training camp, during which they will play their first two friendly matches.
