The FC Barcelona Board of Directors met today, 29 July, for an ordinary meeting at the Club's installation, headed by first vice-president Rafael Yuste in the absence of president Joan Laporta, who excused his absence.
One of the points of the agenda discussed during the meeting was the possibility of holding a single Ordinary Assembly for Members and Delegate Members, which usually takes place in October, to include the points scheduled for the Extraordinary Assembly that require approval by delegate members.
To make this possible, the Club is bringing forward the process to close the books for the 2025/26 season and preparations for the budget for the 2026/27 season, with the aim of including everything in one agenda, in one call and in one Assembly, which could take place in September.
This method would make it more convenient for delegate members and see a significant saving on organisational and financial resources.
During the meeting today, the Board of Directors learned of an initial estimate regarding the financial end to the season. The accounts are currently being reviewed and validated by the auditor, and once complete, the Club will convene an Ordinary Assembly, and at the same time as the Extraordinary Assembly if possible.
The final decision will be taken soon. The Club would like this Assembly to be held in September and to coincide with a matchday if possible.
Furthermore, on the sporting side, the Board of Directors are finalising arrangements for a men's first team friendly match on 15 August in Tanger (Morrocco) against a local team.
Similarly, the Board are also looking into the possibility of Barça Women playing a friendly match on the same date (15 August) against Manchester City at the English team's stadium.
The Board of Directors also reviewed the different sporting areas of the Club and were informed of the imminent addition of a new women's football first team player, which will be communicated once the operation is confirmed.
Also in the sporting domain, the Board has ratified the project to unite the Barça Atlètic set up with the first team set up, with the aim of obtaining faster, more efficient and coordinated management of sporting, financial and operational aspects.
Lastly, the Board of Directors were informed of how the Spotify Camp Nou works are progressing and the work planned ahead of the start of the coming season.
