Born in León on 7 May 1947 and a Barça player between 1972 and 1980, Jesús Antonio de la Cruz was the blaugrana boss for just one match in February 2003 ahead of the arrival of new coach Radomir Antic
De la Cruz had been in charge of the Barça amateur side between 1989 and 1986 and in January 2003 he was assistant coach to Louis Van Gaall. After the Dutchman's departure, De la Cruz took over as caretaker boss and led the team for just one game, a 3-0 defeat away at Atlético Madrid.
