Role
The Social Media Editor & Host’s main goal is to deliver excellent content on the club’s social media channels. The functions include thinking, producing, presenting and publishing content through FC Barcelona’s official channels.
Responsabilities
- Create and offer entertaining and attractive content for fans
- Create daily content with and around the first team squad
- Constantly develop new social ideas and content
- Identify opportunities, trends and content on social media to use on the club’s official channels
- Understand analytics and data from the social media platforms to enhance content creation
Key results
- Deliver content that will contribute to mantaining the club’s leadership in the sports digital market
- Increase the number of fans and engagement on the club’s social media platforms
- Improve the club’s digital KPIs
Profile
Formation: Degree in audiovisual communication, marketing, journalism, digital design (or similar)
Languages: Bilingual in English and Spanish
Specific requirements
- Excellent knowledge in producing and delivering content through video, text, image, graphics
- Excellent use of social media platforms and tools to create high quality content
- Proficient knowledge of standard business software (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, ...)
- Highly creative mindset
- In-depth knowledge of football and sports culture
- Awareness of the social media’s worldwide landscape
Experience
- 1-3 years of content creation for social media platforms (Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat...)
- Content portfolio or videoreel
- Teamwork experience
Relationships
- Social media department, as part of the digital content team
- Works closely with the digital channels, marketing, technology and sponsorship teams
