Pierre Oriola, born 25/9/1992, joined FC Barcelona from Valencia Basket. He has always played in the top two divisions in Spain, having made his debut all the way back in 2009/10 with Manresa in the Liga Endesa. He spent three years with them, and then went on to play two seasons in the LEB Oro with Lleida and Huesca.
His good performances in the second tier earned him a move to Sevilla Baloncesto in 2014/15, and in his time there he played in the Eurocup in both seasons. He later lined out for Valencia Basket.
Despite still being relatively young, Oriola is highly experienced with a total of 157 matches in the Liga Endesa.
Oriola is an inside player who is equally at home at power forward and center, with a great ability to open up the court one-on-one. His percentages from shots and the foul line are impressive, and he’s no slouch when it comes to three pointers.
In the defensive phase he is dynamic and energetic, and is sharp in both defensive and offensive rebounds, an area where he really comes into his own.
