Cory Higgins (14 June, California, USA) came to Barcelona in 2019 after claiming the Euroleague title with CSKA Moscow and consolidating his place as one of the leading players in European Basketball. The American is a 196cm forward who signed a contract for the next three seasons to tie him to the club until 30 June 2022.
The player arrived at Barça in the best form of his career after averaging 14.2 points and 14.9 points in his two seasons in Moscow in the Euroleague and was a vital part of the 2019 title winning team. He is a forward who can shoot from the perimeter (47% success from three pointers in 129 matches in 4 seasons) as well as from the inside thanks to his ability in one on one situations.
Higgins spent four seasons at the University of Colorado gaining a degree in sociology before moving on to the NBA with Charlotte Hornets. Between 2011 and 2013 he combined 44 appearances for the North Carolina team with 35 games in the Development League for the Erie Bay Hawks.
In 2013 he made the move to Europe, joining Zenit Saint Petersburg where averaged 20.3 points per game. In 2014 he made the switch to Turkish side Gaziantep where he recorded 16 points per game and his performances gained him the attention of Russian side CSKA Moscow where played between 2015 and 2019 winning two Euroleagues and 4 VTB Leagues.
