FC Barcelona announces that coach Xavi Pascual i Vives has informed the Club that he will activate the release clause present in the contract that ties him to the Club until 2028 at the end of the season. 

Therefore, the coach from Gavà will bring to an end his second spell as Barça basketball coach, a spell that began on 17 November 2025 with the club in a difficult sporting situation. FC Barcelona thanks him for the work carried out over those months and wishes him all the best for the future.  

All parties are now focused on the common goal of ending the season with the ACB League trophy.  

The Club will shortly call a press conference for 11.30am CEST on Thursday.
