Ernesto Valverde valued Barça’s draw against Celta Vigo at Balaídos, emphasising how equal the first half was: "It was a very open game, especially in the first half.” At the same time, the coach made reference to the difficulties the Blaugrana faced when Sergi Roberto was sent off, not long after Barça went ahead for the second time in the match (1-2): "We took an excessive step backwards with the sending off, and that ended up punishing us."

Barça need just two more wins to secure the league title, something Valverde was keen to stress, before turning attention to Saturday’s Copa del Rey final: "We need two victories so we’ll see if we can get them. Now, however, we have to focus on Saturday as we have a tough game.”
