A classic ‘Clásico’ saw Barça and Real Madrid play out an intense encounter at Camp Nou in which Ernesto Valverde’s team maintained their unbeaten record this season in the league despite playing the entire second half with 10 men.

Goals from Luis Suárez and Leo Messi, the Argentinian stretching his record in the fixture to 26, gave Barça the lead twice only for first Cristiano Ronaldo and then Gareth Bale to level things up for the visitors.

Andrés Iniesta’s final Clásico was witnessed by a near capacity crowd at Camp Nou of 97,939, the best of the season, who saw the blaugranes move that little bit closer to their objective of not losing a single game in the 2017/18 league campaign.
