FC Barcelona may still be a couple weeks away from landing in New York for the beginning of a ten-day tour in the United States, but, in many ways, the team's mind is already there.

With the U.S. celebrating its 241st birthday this July 4th, 2017, a quartet of Barça stars have a special message for its fans there: Happy Independence Day!

In our special Fourth of July video, the strikers Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr, Luis Suárez, and the defender Gerard Piqué give the team's American fans best wishes on the day the United States celebrates Congress' official approval of the Declaration of Independence, which was adopted in Philadelphia, on this very date, way back in 1776.

On July 19th, FC Barcelona depart from Barcelona El-Prat Airport and fly to New York, where it will begin its ten-day summer tour. The team's first match comes on July 22nd, when the blaugranes face Juventus at MetLife Stadium. Barça then plays Manchester United at FedExField in the Washington DC area on July 26th. The tour's finale comes on July 29th, when Barça and Real Madrid square off in the first El Clásico ever held on American soil.
