Barça arrive in Athens

The FC Barcelona party landed in the Greek capital on Monday for their Champions League clash with Olympiacos

Barça are now in Greece. The blaugrana party, including the U19A squad who also face Olympiacos in the UEFA Youth League, landed around 12.45pm CET at Athens airport before heading off to the team hotel. The Barça directors Silvio Elías, Enric Tombas and Oriol Tomàs also travelled along with Josep Segura, manager of the Football Area, Guillermo Amor, responsible for first team Institutional and Sporting Relations and the technical secretary of professional youth football, José Mari Bakero.

Ernesto Valverde has taken a 20 man squad to Greece: Ter Stegen, Cillessen, Ortolá, Semedo, Rakitic, Sergio, Denis Suárez, Suárez, Messi, Mascherano (without medical all clear), Paulinho, Deulofeu, Paco Alcácer, Jordi Alba, Digne, S. Roberto, André Gomes, Umtiti, Vermaelen and Aleñá. The players will train on the Georgios Karaiskakis stadium on Monday at 6.00pm CET ahead of their clash with Olympiacos on Tuesday at 8.45pm CET.

After training Ernesto Valverde and Gerard Deulofeu will appear before the press at the stadium.
