FC Barcelona took a big step towards the league title after winning 1-0 against Atlético Madrid. After the game, Ernesto Valverde said he was very happy with "how the team has competed." He also acknowledged that Diego Simeone’s team had played an "intense match,” although he believes that Barça were able to "manage [the pressure] well.”

Valverde confirmed that he hoped the team would compete well in this type of game as it was "fundamental" and "important for the title.” Despite the win, the coach didn’t want to celebrate anything just yet. "We have made a step forward, but it is not definitive," he said.

Regarding Atlético, the Txingurri praised the spirit of Simeone’s side, and said that Barça has also achieved this sense of solidarity throughout the season. For Valverde, each game is different, and his goal is to "always interpret each duel" and wait for things to happen.
