International friendlies begin for blaugranes

France, Argentina, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Croatia and Brazil play first fixtures as teams prepare for 2018 World Cup

FRANCE vs REP. IRELAND 

The French national team includes the blaugranas Dembélé and Umtiti and they will start their preparation for Russia 2018 on Monday 28 May. France take on Ireland at 9.00pm (* all times CEST) at the Saint-Denis Stadium in Paris.

ARGENTINA vs HAITI 

Leo Messi to play his first friendly against Haiti in Buenos Aires. The game will be played in the early hours of 30 May, with kick off scheduled for 1.00am.

COLOMBIA vs EGYPT 

The Colombian national team includes Yerry Mina and he will play his first warm up match against Egypt in Italy at 8.30pm on 1 June.

FRANCE vs ITALY

With barely any time to relax in between games, Didier Deschamps’ players play their second friendly against Italy in Nice. The match is at 9.00pm on Friday 1 June.

AUSTRIA vs GERMANY

The German national team has Marc-André Ter Stegen in their ranks and they will play in Klagenfurt, Austria. The fixture will take place at 6.00pm on Saturday 2 June.

BELGIUM vs PORTUGAL

Vermaelen also has a friendly this week as Belgium take on Portugal in Brussels at 8.45pm on Saturday 2 June.

SPAIN vs SWITZERLAND

The Spanish national team has the most blaugranas in it as Piqué, Jordi Alba, Sergio and Iniesta have all been called up. They start their World Cup warm up with a game against the Swiss in Villarreal at 9.00pm on 3 June.

CROATIA vs BRAZIL

This is the only game with blaugranas playing for both sides. Ivan Rakitic is to represent Croatia against Paulinho and Coutinho’s Brazil side. The game is at Anfield in Liverpool at 4.00pm CEST on 3 June.
