Both players are expected to be mainstays of Brazil's starting XI for the 2018 World Cup.

Paulinho played a key role for hosts Brazil in the 2014 World Cup, and overall has 48 appearances and 12 goals for La Canarinha.

Coutinho, who has yet to represent Brazil in World Cup play, has made 35 appearances for the team and scored 9 goals.
