FC Barcelona's thumping win over Celta, by the numbers

After the defeat at Balaídos on 2 October (4-3), Luis Enrique's men have gone on a run of 14 wins and five draws

FC Barcelona’s 5-0 win over Celta Vigo on Saturday marked a full round of matches in the league without defeat, since losing to the same side in October.

The 4-3 defeat at Balaídos earlier in the campaign spelled the start of a 19-match undefeated streak for Luis Enrique’s men, where they have 14 times and drawn five.

The superb run of form shown from Barça has propelled them to the top of the league table, a point above Real Madrid but having played a game more.

As well as the 19-game unbeaten run, the game also threw up a number of other fascinating stats and facts:

- Leo Messi is the first player this season to score in six consecutive league matches, in which time he has netted eight goals.

- The Argentine also played a part in four out of the five goals scored on the night, scoring twice and setting up another two, for Neymar Jr’s chip and Umtiti’s strike.

Neymar put in another magnificent individual display, scoring an audacious lob. The Brazilian has scored six in seven games against the Galicians, making Celta his favourite opponent along with Rayo and Villarreal.

The silky winger made eleven successful dribbles out of the 18 attempted, the most of any player in this campaign.

- Midfield duo Ivan Rakitic and Sergio Busquets also played an important part in the win. The Croatian scored his second in as many games while the Catalan lynchpin recovered possession 12 times.

- Samuel Umtiti scored his first ever goal for the club in his 30th appearance
