Barça B-Córdoba CF: Big win in the Mini (4-0)

Gerard López's team cruise to victory in a game in which they dominated their Andalusian opponents

Barça have recorded their second win of the season with an excellent 4-0 win over Córdoba in the Miniestadi. Goals from Aleñá, two from Arnaiz and one for Choco Lozano allowed Gerard López’s team to claim all three points at home.

Barça B threatened from early on in the game with Vitinho in the thick of the action, the Brazilian winning a free kick that Fali then sent crashing against the post.

Arnaiz then went close for the home side. The winger beat two defenders before just sliding his effort wide. Minutes later, however, the blaugranes were ahead. Cucurella streamed in from the left, setting up Aleñá to finish from the six yard box.

Arnaiz added a second some five minutes later in the first half, the new signing producing a low shot to beat keeper Stefanovic. The same player added his second and his team’s third seven minutes before half time, Arnaiz picking up a great ball from Vitinho to make it 3-0 at half time.

In the second half Arnaiz could have had a hat-trick if it had not been for a good save by Stefanovic in goal for Córdoba. The fourth came after 67 minutes, Choco Lozano finising with Arnaiz turning provider this time.

The 4-0 victory now means that Barça B have seven points from their opening three matches of the season with their next game a visit to Alcórcon on Sunday 17 September at 4.00pm CET.
