Barça are through to the UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-finals after thrashing Real Madrid 6–0 (12–2 on aggregate) at Spotify Camp Nou. They've reached this stage for the eighth time and will now face Bayern Munich.

It was a night of celebration at the stadium. Alexia was honoured for reaching 500 appearances, a season-high crowd of 60,067 turned out, and the players wore shirts featuring the typography of Anna Vives to mark World Down Syndrome Day (21 March).

Sheer brilliance

Roared on by the crowd, Barça made a flying start and needed less than ten minutes to open the scoring. Alexia marked her milestone by pouncing on a rebound from Misa to make it 1–0 .

Barça dominated possession and kept the pressure on. The second soon followed: Alexia delivered from the left and Graham Hansen headed home to make it 2–0. The attacking display continued, with Paredes adding a third from a corner, set up perfectly by Graham.

Before the break, Pajor capitalised on another loose ball from Misa, after a cross from Vicky, to make it four and the tenth of the tie overall.

More goals

The second half followed the same script. Graham produced a moment of quality to bring up five, turning and finishing with a delicate touch.

Barça kept pushing and found a sixth in the 73rd minute, when a cross from Serrajordi, just on as a substitute, founds Brugts to complet the scoring.

The goals ended, but the celebrations continued, with the Spotify Camp Nou crowd rising to give Alexia Putellas a standing ovation when she was substituted.

Record attendance

The night was rounded off by a season-best attendance of 60,067, capping a memorable evening as Barça booked their place in the semi-finals.
