Yet another milestone for the FC Barcelona midfielder. After reaching 500 games as a blaugrana against Atlético Madrid in the league this season, Sergio Busquets has now completed a century of games in the Champions League.
Number six in the club
The FC Barcelona vice-captain becomes the seventh player to reach 100 games in Europe’s top club competition in a Barça shirt. Xavi Hernández leads the list with 151 appearances, followed by Andrés Iniesta (130), Leo Messi (129), Carles Puyol (115), Víctor Valdés (106), and Piqué (101).
Three Champions League trophies
The local born Barça number 5 has lifted the trophy on three different occasions, in 2009, 2011 and 2015. In his 100 games he has been on the winning side on 64 occasions, with 21 draws and 14 defeats completing his personal record. He has scored four times in the competition, his first goal coming on his debut back in October 2008 in a 5-0 win away to FC Basel.
