Barça B recorded an historic first ever victory away at Llagostera with two second half goals to take three valuable points at a tough ground to visit. Gerard López’s side dominated the encounter and were worthy winners over the 90 minutes.
The visitors showed impressed intensity right from the off. In the first half the B side had chances but luck appeared to desert them at crucial moments. Just before the break, Barça striker Alberto Perea rattled the post, the closest either side came to breaking the deadlock before the half time whistle.
The second half followed a similar pattern and the blaugranes continued to have the upper hand. 10 minutes after the restart, Gerard López’s team finally had their reward. Àlex Carbonell put Barça ahead with a well struck effort that flew into the top corner.
With the confidence of being ahead, the B team had more opportunities to put the game beyond Llagostera but it was not until the 89th minute that Gerard López’s team found a second. Marc Cardona, on his return to the side after injury, celebrated with a strike that handed the B side all three points.
