FC Barcelona Women secured a 3-0 win over Tacuense on Sunday thanks to goals from Alexia, Ange Koko and Bárbara Latorre to remain top of the league table ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League game against Twente.
Barça took the lead on 29 minutes after Koko was felled in the penalty area, and the spot-kick was dispatched with assurance by Alexia.
The breakthrough was deserved and, from that point on, the result never looked in doubt as the hosts dominated proceedings.
Barça doubled their lead on 64 minutes when Bàrbara’s cross was met by Koko who superbly dispatched to give the league leaders further comfort.
Bárbara’s superb individual display was capped on 75 minutes with a goal as she broke through the Tacuense back line before finishing to wrap up a comfortable home win.
