Barça and Real Madrid players, some of whom are international teammates, greet each other in the tunnel just before kick-off
This Saturday's Barça v Real Madrid was as intense as usual for a game of this magnitude. The encounter between the blaugranas and the team from the capital was attended by 98,485 fans who provided a vibrant atmosphere. When the players came onto the pitch they were greeted by a spectacular mosaic but before this they were waiting in the tunnel.
The players greeted each other warmly and it is worth remembering that lots of them are teammates for their respective national teams. For instance, Sergi Roberto, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and Piqué are in the Spanish national team along with Sergio Ramos, Nacho and Carvajal. Moreover, Ivan Rakitic, Luka Modric and Kovacic, all play a prominent role in the Croatian national team and they also greeted one another with warmth.
As well as these greetings, the players made sure they motivated their teammates and concentrated on the task ahead as they waited for the game to begin.
