FC Barcelona's five potential rivals for the last 16 of the Champions League

Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Porto -the last team to classify-, are Barça's potential rivals as they finished second of their groups

With groups E, F, G, and H finishing tonight the group stage is over and we now know who Barça could be drawn against in the round of 16. FC Barcelona finished top of its group and in the first stage of the knockout rounds Luis Enrique's team could face Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Porto.

Barça, having won Group C with 15 points thanks to their victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach, went into the night with four potential rivals already decided (Bayern, Bayer, PSG and Benfica), and there is now one more. Porto ran riot against Leicester (5-0) and with this victory secured passage into the knockout stages. In groups F and H, the two teams in second place were Real Madrid and Sevilla, and as both of them are from the same national football federation as Barcelona they cannot face the Catalan team.

The draw will be next Monday 12 December at 12.00 pm CET in Nyon, Switzerland. Barça will then know which of these five they will face in the next round in the new year. The blaugranas, thanks to there first place finish in their group, have ensured they will play the return leg at the Camp Nou. The first legs will be played on the 14/15 and the 21/22 of February and the return legs will take place on either the 7/8 or 14/15 of March.
