FC Barcelona B 4-0 UE Llagostera: Goals flow at the Miniestadi

Dani Romera gets three of the four as the reserves stay top of the league and unbeaten at home since November

Barça B’s terrific form at the Miniestadi continues, where the reserves are unbeaten since November 12. The latest victim was Llagostera, to the tune of a 4-0 win to stay top of the division.

Things got off to the perfect start when a handball incident in the first attack of the match led to a successfully converted Gumbau penalty.

The visitors took some time to get to grips with a game that Barça B were dominating, with the lion’s share of possession and most of the key chances. Dani Romera was the most active man on the pitch, and after stumbling in a one-on-one with the visiting keeper, made amends shorty after by collecting a Marc Cardona assist and rifling home the second of the day.

That was a cracking goal, but the one that followed on the verge of half-time, also scored by the Andalusian, from had no flies on it either. Alfaro was the provider this time, and the finish was a joy to behold. 3-0 at the break. Game already over, it would seem.

Llagostera had nothing to lose and threw all they could at the blaugrana after the interval, but failed to find anything to seriously worry the home side.

Instead, it was Barça B who had all the chances, and eventually Dani Romera completed a fine team move, and a hat trick, with the fourth nine minutes from time.

A great result leaves Barça B five points clear at the top of the table, with a game away to fourth-placed Valencia Mestalla to come next Saturday at 6.00pm CET.
