FC Barcelona have another big game this weekend, one of the most important for the fans, when they take on Espanyol in the city derby in La Liga. In his pre-game press conference at the Ciutat Esportiva, coach Luis Enrique revealed that Andrés Iniesta was a doubt for the trip to the Cornellà-El Prat stadium on Saturday at 8.45pm CET. The Barça captain missed training on Friday morning due to a groin problem and Luis Enrique admitted: “We will have to wait until tomorrow to see if he can be included in the squad.”
The coach continued on the subject of the derby against Quique Sánchez Flores’ team. “We know how difficult it is in a derby. All away game are tough, especially against Espanyol but we will try to use our quality to overcome them.”
“The fact that it is a derby means it is a special game and there are clues in previous meetings or in the table in a high intensity game like this.
“At this point in the season all matches are key, we need all three points and it is an added extra that it is a derby.”
Luis Enrique said Brazilian striker Neymar was fully “prepared” for his comeback against Espanyol after a three game suspension.
