Ousmane Dembélé appeared on Monday wearing an FC Barcelona strip for the first time, but while on that occasion it was a ceremonial gesture, on Tuesday it was for the real thing as he joined his new team-mates for training at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
Or at least those that are in town at the moment, for the bulk of the first team squad have departed to start preparations for World Cup qualifiers with their national teams, meaning that the small group of available players was joined for today’s workout by Gerard López and his Barça B squad.
And Dembélé wasn’t the only new face on show. Jose Arnaiz of the reserves was also training for the first time with his new colleagues.
Marlon Santos was missing with special permission from the club, which is sorting out negotiations for his loan to French outfit Nice.
