Coach Ernesto Valverde has announced his 18 man squad for the Clásico against Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday at 1.00pm CET. The Barça boss will be without the injured Dembélé, Paco Alcácer and Umititi due to injury with Rafinha, Arda Turan and Deulofeu also omitted from the list.
The full list of players is as follows: Ter Stegen, Semedo, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Denis, A. Iniesta, Suárez, Messi, Cillessen, Mascherano, Paulinho, Jordi Alba, Digne, S. Roberto, A. Gomes, Aleix Vidal and Vermaelen.
Before the naming of the squad, the players took part in their final training session prior to the Clásico at the Ciutat Esportiva. All the available first team players took part as well Aleñá and Ortolá from the Barça B squad. The Barça party will head to their team hotel in Madrid on Friday afternoon local time ahead of Saturday’s big fixture in La Liga.
The team flew to Madrid at 7.00pm on Friday evening. The Club's expedition was led by Vice President Jordi Cardoner, and the Board Members Ramón Pont, Javier Bordas, Pau Vilanova, Jordi Calsamiglia, Maria Teixidor, Emili Rousaud and Xavier Vilajoana, the Club CEO Òscar Grau, and the First Team's head of Sporting and Institutional Relations, Guillermo Amor. The players will be at their hotel overnight until two hours before kickoff of El Clásico on Saturday.
