Barça’s preseason continues to move forward. Although the league season gets under way this Saturday, the involvement of Barça players in the latter stages of the World Cup means the champions have an extra week of preseason. And Flick’s side have some busy days ahead.

This Saturday, the blaugrana completed another training session at the Ciutat Esportiva, with all available first-team players taking part, and with Pedri out on the training pitch also following an individual programme in his first few days back in preseason. 

Also involved in the session were Eder Aller, Xavi Espart, Álvaro Cortés, Jodi Pesquer, Brian Fariñas, Ebrima Tunkara, Orian Goren and Hamza Abdelkarim.

It was their final session before travelling to Basel, where they will play their penultimate game before the start of official competition on Sunday at 4.30pm CEST, live on Barça Play only in Spain. 

They will once again put themselves to the test. Next Wednesday they face Egyptian side Al Ahly in the Estrella Damm Gamper Fest, before beginning the defence of their league title away to Elche the following Sunday.
