Another record

Another competition sees Lamine Yamal make an impression. After goals in La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Super Cup, the Champions League and the European Championships, the blaugranes has now added the World Cup to that list. World Cup top 10

His youth and precocity also places him in the top 10 of youngest goalscorers ever at the World Cup. His goal against Saudi Arabia puts him eighth on the list, just ahead of Leo Messi but behind his blaugrana team mate Gavi who is in third place having scored in the Qatar World Cup in 2022 at the age of 18 years and 110 days. The list is led by Brazilian legend Pelé who scored in the 1958 World Cup at the age of 17 years and 239 days.
