Hansi Flick continues to make his mark at FC Barcelona by winning a second consecutive La Liga title in just his second season with the Club, joining a select band of Barça coaches who have done the same.

Only seven men have won two league titles in their first two years as coach:  Enrique Fernández (1947/48 and 1948/49); Helenio Herrera (1958/59 and 1959/60, after taking over at the end of 1957/58); Louis van Gaal (1997/98 and 1998/99); Pep Guardiola (2008/09, 2009/10 and 2010/11); Luis Enrique Martínez (2014/15 and 2015/16); and Ernesto Valverde (2017/18 and 2018/19).

Now, Hansi Flick can add his name to that list after league titles in 2024/25 and 2025/26, confirming the enormous impact he has had on the side, leading them to dominate the domestic league championship.

League title specialist

Hansi Flick’s success in the league is nothing new. The German coach has taken four league titles in his four seasons in charge of top flight clubs. During his time at Bayern Munich he won the Bundesliga title in both his campaigns as coach, in 2019/20 and again in 2020/21.

With the La Liga title in 2025/26 now on his list of honours, Flick also becomes the first German coach to win the trophy twice, surpassing Bernd Schuster and his league title with Real Madrid in 2007/08.
