A great win for Ricard Ares' roller hockey team as Barça defeated Cerdanyola 7-2 away from home in the OK League. The blaugranes led 4-0 at half time with the home side reacting too late to get themselves back into the contest. The win for Barça means they still have a chance of topping the table in the regular season with just one round of matches to come.
Blaugrana hurricane
The blaugranes started the game in a hurry and Ignacio Alabart put them ahead on just five minutes with a well taken effort, his 17th of the season in the league. Marc Grau made it 2-0 just three minutes later and Ferran Font added a third on 12 minutes to hand Barça a handsome lead. Cerdanyola had chances to get back into the contest but it was Barça who found the net again before half time with Sergi Aragonés making it 4-0 with a great solo effort.
Competitive second half
The home side improved after the break only for Barça to add a fifth through Marc Grau with an assist from Alabart. Álvaro Giménez pulled one back for Cerdanyola only for Eloi Cervera to restore Barça's five goal advantage at 6-1.
A goal from Miras made it 6-2 but Sergi Llorca's strike ended the scoring for the blaugranes and for the game to allow Ricard Ares' team to take another win in the league to keep them in the hunt for top spot.
The Barça roller hockey team are next in action on Friday 1 May against Adiss Hockey Rivas.
